5% discount on labor

Hopefully you
like what you've seen and now you want to contact me. The very best and
preferred way is by email. I'm really busy for a small shop, and to keep
my turn around times short I need to be working and not on the phone. I
really appreciate your understanding.

EMAIL
You can reach
me at either:
I
return email as quickly as possible and check my spam filter
regularly. It may take a day or two, or three to reply as I
consider your question and offer suggestions. I will try to
reply in the format you sent me an email in, but there will times I
need to change it to HTML to include pictures or links.
My
email link is also conveniently located on the bottom of each page. |

TELEPHONE
There are time
when only a phone call will take care of your needs. I
understand. You can reach me between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm
Pacific Time, Tuesday through Friday and 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (noon)
Saturday. The answering machine may pick up if I'm busy with
another customer or operating noisy equipment. I try to return phone
calls as quickly as I can, but it may be a day or two as I often
work late into the evening to keep up with the work load. I
can be reached at:
(503) 763-0194
Please
keep your calls brief and to the point. Some calls can last an
hour with "just one more question". |

SHIPPING &
MAILING
The shipping
and mailing address is the same -
Great West Gunsmithing
1338 Franklin Street NW
Salem, OR 97304
This is a residential address. I do my best to be available
for signature deliveries and insured mail, but sometimes I miss the
delivery. |

SHOP HOURS
As a small shop
operated out of my home I do not keep business hours. All
visits are by appointment, please don't be disappointed by deciding
to "just drop by" and see if I'm available.
I
am, however, closed to appointments on Sunday and Monday, and after
noon on Saturdays. I will do my best to accommodate evening
appointments when needed to meet your work schedule.
Please keep visits brief and to the point. I enjoy your
company, but hunting stories or family tales keep me from working on
your guns. I'll give you as much time as needed to take care of
your gunsmithing needs, but it doesn't take many customers to spend
a full day talking instead of fixing guns. I appreciate your
understanding.

LOCATION
The shop is
located in West Salem. The main cross street is Rosemont
Avenue. When arriving for an appointment the shop is located
at the end of the driveway in the "garage" if you will.

Great West
Gunsmithing
is owned and operated
by John Baker, aka GunDoc on the boards, and sometimes has others
besides the gun shop dog working for him. All gunsmithing,
website production and email is done by John, who also does most of
the packing and paper work. I run a full time shop with
secure storage, security, and I'm fully insured. I've been
FFL licensed and independent since 2003. I holds
certificates from the American Gunsmithing Institute in handguns,
shotguns, rifles and rimfires as well as practical machining.
I have relationships with several gun shops and a shooting school
to provide gunsmithing services.
Right about now you may be saying "great, but how come I never heard
of you?". Good question, simple answer. I don't
advertise. I don't have an 800 number, and I'm not hurting
for business. I let my skills and customer service speak for
themselves and satisfied customers refer their friends to me.
Maybe you found me by a web search instead. At least I'm getting
my money out of this website. |
