FFL Transfers

I offer transfer services for out of state purchases. If you buy a gun on Gun Broker, or Guns America, even Shotgun News I will act on your behalf to receive the gun and perform the background check to transfer your purchase to you. Following the guidelines below will help make the process quick and easy.

I charge a flat $20 fee for each gun transferred. The fee includes the State's fee, faxes, etc. You may pay by cash, check or credit card upon completion of the NICs check and approval for the transfer.

When preparing to buy a gun or if you have already purchased/won it:

You are responsible to remit payment to the seller. I do not handle the money.

Email me the seller's information:

	Name, phone number, fax number
	The firearm you purchased
	The auction or item number

Email me your contact information so I can notify you of delivery and arrange for the transfer

For the transfer you will need:

	Positive identification - driver's license
	Your finger prints will be taken
	A trigger lock for handguns
	A gun case to take your firearm home
	Your payment for the transfer fees

You MUST be the legal purchaser, and at least 18 years old for long guns and 21 years old for handguns.

As of 2007, all handguns transferred must have a trigger lock or other security device by Federal Law. If you don't bring one and the gun doesn't arrive with one I have some for sale that will need to be purchased before the handgun is transferred to you.

This applies only to handguns.

Straw Purchases are illegal and I will report them to the authorities. Conviction of purchasing a firearm for someone who legally can't carries a sentence of 10 years.

DON'T DO IT!

If your transfer is denied you have the right to appeal the decision. If the transfer is delayed you will have to wait. The State Police do not inform me of the details for these decisions and I can not transfer the firearm to you without an approval number.

NO Class 3 transfers or NFA weapons transfers. I am a Class 1 FFL Holder. I will not provide you with a copy of my FFL to mail or fax, I will do that for you. I will provide a quick inspection of the firearm when it arrives to make sure it wasn't damaged in shipping. A thorough inspection will be provided upon request for a fee. If firearms need to be returned to the seller, I will assist you in shipping. You should only purchase guns from reputable dealers and request at least a 3 day right of inspection.

Your transfer records are kept in secure storage. I take every precaution I can to safeguard your personal information.
