Once upon a
time this was a hard sell.... painting guns. Now it's
everywhere and even offered as a factory option from quite a few
manufacturers. I started offering these finishes in 2003 and
since then there are so many colors and products it's hard to choose
from them. I prefer DuraCoat® for 99% of the projects I do.
I do have some other finishes I use as the conditions warrant, and
if I feel one is better than another I'll recommend it. For
best protection, best appearance, best application - get your guns
and accessories coated here. |

What is DuraCoat®? First, it's not paint. It's a two part finish designed especially for firearms. There's all kinds of technical jargon about its abrasion resistance, rust prevention properties, but the important thing for you to know is that done properly, DuraCoat® is the preferred choice of most of us doing this work. It can be air cured or thermoset, allowing it to be used on many items other products can't be used on - like scopes. It can also be mixed to achieve custom colors, and clear coats can protect a fine bluing job if you hunt in extreme conditions. Can you do it yourself at home? Sure. But the quality of the job requires proper cleaning and preparation of the surfaces, proper curing and reassembly. DuraCoat® itself is quite affordable, it's the labor and the know-how that gets expensive - but it's absolutely worth it to have it done right. DuraCoat® can be used for just about anything including long guns, handguns, scopes, rails, knives, stocks, even welding hoods and flashlights (see my photo gallery) can be coated. Many of my guns and accessories wear it as a testament and ongoing durability test to how highly I regard DuraCoat®. I'll do the job right, without shortcuts, even if it means I strip it all down and do it again until I'm proud to attach my name to the job. Pick your color or pattern and shoot me an email. I'm waiting for your project right now. |

My pricing includes disassembly, surface prep,
coating, reassembly and lubrication. Camo patterns have 1
coat of matte clear applied. Some colors require a white
base to render properly, if the color you choose is one that
does I will inform you before hand as it costs more.
Turnaround times are roughly 6-8 weeks. |

I do offer other finishes based on the application or your preference. I offer GunKote®, CeraCoat®, AlumaHyde®, and Brownell's Baking Lacquers®. These will vary in price and color availability, and my finishes warranty does not apply. See the policies page for finish warranty when DuraCoat® is applied for more details. Most of these finishes are thermoset (require baking to cure) and are therefore not ideal for all applications. All camo patterns are generic in nature, I do not dip guns or have a license to apply licensed patterns. If you like a pattern, but not the colors, we can work that out and get the just the look you want. |
